I’m constantly in situations that require a right angle impact driver. One instance in particular is when drawer slides and other cabinet hardware that’s in tight, hard-to-reach spaces. However, a dedicated right angle hex impact driver is hard to swollen at $100+. It’s not something that I’d use enough to justify the cost.

This is where the DeWalt MAXFIT Right Angle Magnetic Attachment becomes an effective solution. The right angle holder is compact at 1-1/2" front-to-back and 6" long, making it earier to handle is tight spaces. The right angle attachment holds standard 1/4" hex bits and has a strong magnet for fastner retention. The impact rated metal-gear case design provides durability and long-life.

I used the right angle attachment on my DeWalt Atomic 20V impact driver by simply locking it into the hex collet.

The strong magnet within the right angle attachment retains the hex driver bit and is strong enough to hold screw fasteners.

I recently had to replace some warn out drawer slides on my assembly table. The drawer slides are almost touching the bottom of the cabinet which makes it extremely difficult to lay an impact driver flat against the cabinet bottom to be inline to drive in screw fasteners. By using the right angle attachment I can rotate the impact driver (inverted in this case) so that it is out of the way, while the right angle attachment is inline with the screw. This ensures that the screw is driven straight and not off at an angle.
